HENRY FOSTER—1931. He was outstanding in basketball and football and baseball but was really great in basketball, leading Lenoir City to its first State Championship in 1930. He capped his season off by being named All State. Lenoir City almost made it two in a row in 1931 but had to settle for second place and he was again named All State, becoming one of the few players to be so honored two years in succession. Along with his brother and nephew, he is one of three Fosters in the Hall. He was elected as a charter member to the Hall of Fame in 1970. |
