MILLARD COLEMAN-1931

Playing football in the early ‘30s era, he was a rugged lineman playing on both sides of the ball. He is remembered in early Lenoir City football lore as the defensive man that “allowed no one to run over his position”. He was a block of granite, and when he tackled someone, “he stayed tackled”. A dream player, Millard was the type all coaches could only hope to have on his team. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973.
