TOMMY BRADSHAW-
SPORTS EDITOR

Known as the “Father” of the LCHS Hall of Fame, he was the sports historian of the Lenoir City sports program. He joined other sports enthusiasts in 1969 to create and elect the first members to the Hall of Fame for 1970.As the sports editor of the old Lenoir City News Banner, he wrote articles and amassed information and statistics on all sports. Not only is he credited with naming the school mascot the “Panthers”, he also was the author of the book, “The Panthers Prowl”, which has become the bible for Lenoir City basketball history. He compilied statistics and photographs from its inception through the State Championship days of 1958. He was honored by having the baseball field named after him. We think he would be proud of the recognition the Hall of Fame gets today and would certainly welcome the newly elected members. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2004.
