Lenoir City Schools are able to make purchases through the following sources without having to complete a formal public bid process or obtain written quotes. As a Tennessee public school district, we can purchase many items off of Tennessee Statewide Contracts. The district is also a member of several cooperative purchasing organizations, which allows us to purchase based on nationally awarded bids/contracts. Please keep in mind that purchase orders must still be requested and approved prior to initiating the purchase of goods or services if the total order amount is $500.00 or more at the district level or $250.00 or more at the school level. Requisitions should reference the appropriate statewide contract or cooperative bid agreement number.
