***If you need to change your direct deposit information:***
- If you need to change your direct deposit information, please notify the payroll department as soon as possible. You will need to fill out a new direct deposit form, listed under “Payroll Forms” on the website, and provide either a voided check or an ACH verification letter from your bank.
- Depending on when your new information is received, there may be a delay in payment.
- If your deposit was sent to your closed account before the payroll department was notified, we must receive the funds back from the bank before we can issue a paper check. If all documentation is provided for the new account in a timely manner, direct deposit will be set up for the following payroll.
Paydays:
- Paydays are always the 10th and 25th of every month.
- Depending on what day of the week those dates fall on, holidays, or school closings, the direct deposit date can be a few days before the 10th or 25th. Generally, direct deposit is the day before payday.
Annualized Pay:
- LCS uses annualized pay for all regular employees.
- Annualized pay is calculated by using your daily rate (based on degree and experience) and multiplying that rate by the number of working days in your contract to determine your salary amount. Your salary is then divided evenly over the 24 pay periods for the school year.
- Using annualized pay ensures that your deductions/benefits are consistent and will allow you to continue to be paid over the summer months.
Benefits/Deductions:
- Insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision, and life) are paid a month in advance.
Tax Withholdings (Form W-4):
- Updates to your tax withholdings can be made at any time by completing a new W-4. This form is available for download on the website but can also be found in Frontline Central.
- Once received, changes will be applied to the following payroll.
- While we are unable to provide tax advice or recommendations, we are able to provide resources to assist you with the process.
Summer Payrolls & Direct Deposits:
- In June, we run the “summer payroll process.” During this process, all of the payrolls from June through August are run in June to close out our fiscal year.
- The payrolls are then uploaded separately and distributed on the pay dates as normal. However, since we do run June through August, all in June, all account information needs to be changed BEFORE the June 10th payroll.
- If you have a unique situation and are not able to comply, please let the payroll department know ASAP so you can be issued a paper check instead.
Timesheets:
- By law, all non-exempt employees (teaching assistants and other support staff) are required to clock in and out each day.
- LCS uses TrueTime in Skyward to track timesheets.
- You must clock in and out on campus each day. You can use your school device or the mobile app, but the system will not allow you to clock in/out off campus.
- Timesheets need to be submitted weekly to your supervisor/principal, who will review them and approve or deny them.
- If your timesheet is denied, you will be notified and will need to make corrections and resubmit.
- Time off is imported weekly from Frontline to Skyward, and those absences will automatically apply to your timesheets.
Time Off:
- Time off is accrued monthly, in Skyward, on the 15th of every month.
- 10-month employees receive 1 sick day per month (10 total) and 2 personal days per year received in September and January.
- 11-month employees receive 1 sick day per month (11 total) and 2 personal days per year received in September and January.
- 12-month employees receive 1 vacation day (12 total), 1 sick day (12 total) per month, and 2 personal days received in September and January.
- In Frontline, you receive these accruals upfront in your absence balance. However, if you go unpaid or are separated from the district, you only receive the days you’ve “earned” each month, and your pay may be adjusted accordingly.
